Asks, If One Cannot Shout "Fire" in Crowded Theater, Must Harassment of the Grieving to Promote a Cause Be Allowed?

Protest all you want, but for the love of GOD, leave people to mourn in peace!!!! This is the most egregious example of pigheadedness....and, in reality, heaven forbid these people have THEIR precious personal space invaded.

A funeral is not the time nor the place to demonstrate. Too many demonstrations by ones who do not agree with you...create reasons to show you do not agree. One way...consider the source and ignore it. The CIA had nothing to do with the three murdering planes of 9/11. If you have proof...reveal it. Othewise..it is just the imagination of the sender. Let the dead be buried in peace.

It was 4 planes...

This comes from not reading what is there. plane. This flight attendant from NC was only on ONE plane....the one the passengers brought down...in Pennslyvania. Sorry you are displeased. Wonder why?

I am appalled at the behaviour of the ones carrying rude signs at the military graves. The honoured dead earnt the peace of being laid to rest. When taps is played ye stand at attn and quiet. I don't care for the wars but I know the proper thing to do. My late father was a vet. The bill of rights and the US Constution gives us rights. Also common sense and manners are there for a reason. Ye don't go places just to strat raising hell. We all have our platforms. A grave site service is not the place as the families don't need it. It is rude. We have a right to peacefully gather.

They need to be banned from all funeral homes and grave sites whether military or not. No one deserves to be attacked at a time like that. No one.

Brian, genocide. the systematic killing of all the people from a national, ethnic, or religious group, or an attempt to do this. 9/11. I stood at the gravesite of a flight attendant..NC...she was on the plane ...innocent.... a victim of ones who would kill the infidel... The ones who do not convert to their ?religion?. The Pentagon...Trade Towers....and many other acts of evil. And you ask me why I feel as I do?

I ask nothing from you, nor do I care that you went to a funeral... Those who committed the attack on the WTC were all members of a group that was and are CIA assets, organized, trained, armed, and funded by the CIA. This is public record. Their actions had nothing to do with religion, they have been condemned repeatedly and clearly by Muslims worldwide. The same way the looters after the Rodney King verdict had nothing to do with those of us who felt righteous anger over the outcome..... Also, I notice that you have added the phrase "all the people" to the official definition, which originally and specifically says "in whole, or in part"... Your twisting of the official definition is not even clever, and the text from the original document proves you are willing to prevaricate to make a point, and since the point is based on a prevarication, it is therefore invalid.

brianbwb2015, I'd be interested in finding out where exactly these "public records" are so I can read them. I know Al Qaeda received support from the CIA and other government agencies during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. But I assume you are referring to some kind of directly orchestrated plot of the CIA to deliberately blow up the towers. That needs some very hard evidence. Aside from on a few conspiracy theory websites, I know of no reputable news or information source that claims to have a smoking gun on such a thing. How about some researched references?

"by superfly885 October 10, 2010 9:52 PM EDT Look up the word genocide. Are you insisting America committed it? I am anxious to know!"....... "The international legal definition of the crime of genocide is found in Articles II and III of the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide... Article II describes two elements of the crime of genocide: ... 1) the mental element, meaning the... "intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such", and... 2) the physical element which includes five acts described in sections a, b, c, d and e. A crime must include both elements to be called "genocide."... Article III described five punishable forms of the crime of genocide: genocide; conspiracy, incitement, attempt and complicity."........ Yes, absolutely.

"by Simifanene October 10, 2010 10:38 PM EDT You right brianbwb2015, the first Amendement does guarantee complete freedom of speech, under the condition it is a peaceful assembly..." No, it does not place any such restriction on free speech, it simply says you have the right to say what you wish, and that government cannot enact laws to change that...... It is altogether a separate sentence and item that guarantees you the right to associate with whomever you choose in a peaceful assembly......"Do you consider nearby by shouts and taunts upon a funeral assembly as a peaceful assembly?..." As long as no one is being subjected to physical violence, it is a peaceful assembly........ "I don't, I beleive it's already against the law to inflame and incite people in grieve to point of disordily conduct....." Your belief does not equal fact, otherwise "black" Americans could claim the same justification for beating up kkk, or stormfront demonstrators......" The rights of all are involved, not just the freedom of speech. If Bush was making a speech and I stood up and stopped his speech by overpowering vocal replys, would I not be arrested...... No you wouldn't, unless you resisted duly authorized law officials trying to escort you from the venue, then you would be charged with disorderly conduct, and not so if you left peacefully....." Isn't this same scenerio?......" It is exactly the same and as such, if you were on public property while being noisy, then under the constitution you have the right to sue for redress, and those arresting you would be subject to censure. Now if you were on someone's private property, and shouted down the President, the owner of the property has the right to remove you from his property, otherwise why wasn't the idiot senator arrested for shouting "you lie" during President Obama's address?

These odious people continue their odious ways because they get attention from the media. How about ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC taking it upon themselves to black out these vultures thereby taking away their motivation for getting on camera. It is inconceivable that any religious person would think that taunting mourners could in any way be a just way to voice his bigoted opinion. These people are making a mockery of freedom of speech...in my book, they are disturbing the peace at the very least and should be cited for doing so.

Consider this, if you are in a war, wouldn't you prefer your enemy to be plainly visible, and not hiding under cover? Let the bigots speak, they only reveal themselves for those who object, so we know who to boycott, or take other legal sanction against. Find out where they work, and boycott their sources of funding, we already know who they are, the rest, thanks to their ignorance, is not difficult.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO SAY IT! SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO IT! As a former Combat Officer who has attended TOO many funerals of our "best," please note that IF those morons pulled that "stunt" at one of my comrade's funerals, the morons would find themselves on the receiving end of the "training" and skills of those of us IN combat. This is NOT about the First Amendment, but the willful, vile, INTRUSION into the lives of grieving Americans whose sons have been KILLED on our behalf. It is simple. IF any of those morons arrive at any of this nation's military funerals, terminate them for the vermin that they are, so that they will NEVER again desecrate our honored fallen soldiers and their grieving families.

NCO. I agree 100%
by brianbwb2015 October 11, 2010 1:05 AM EDT
Odd that a so-called "vet" cannot understand that being sent to kill and die because of the lies of those who sent them, doesn't recognize that as a willful intrusion into the lives of Americans. Should you be so stupid as to vent physical anger upon anyone, simply because you don't like what they say, then you have defended nothing, and were a fool for pretending to do so. Your jail time would be richly deserved, and the loss of your contribution to your family's well being would be your own fault.
